This is almost terrifyingly accurate, we just won’t always see it in the moment.
Four years ago, I went to school to become an esthetician. I was at a point, in my writing career, where I just felt like it was more ‘playing dress up’ and it was time to set the dream aside. I was passionate about skincare, so it seemed an obvious choice...
Roughly six months later something began to happen- I would get random (direct) encouragement to write a memoir. The first few times I could shake it off, but then I took notice.
Additionally, I happened into a sort of situation where someone took notice and said “hey- you were made to be a life coach!” I laughed, looked at my mess of a life and knew they were wrong. I attended the classes and national leadership conference anyway, because more than anything I needed to feel like I had a purpose and belonged. I wanted all of it, none of it made sense when compared with one another; was it supposed to be a memoir OR life coach? (Or skincare??)
Answer? All of them. What do they all have in common? The healing and empowerment of women.
Every single day each new passion I get excited about (podcast, ebooks, make up, holistic self care, journaling, yoga, cooking...) aligns perfectly under this little umbrella of my path.
Those things that excite you- notice them. What is exciting you today? (Other than coffee) .
